Recently I listened as a Christian Co-Worker delivered an account of a
personal dilemma he had experienced, a very dangerous situation with a motor
vehicle which would have caused any driver some frightful feelings and
possibly even panicky ones. He was quick to accredit his coming away from
the incident unscathed to his Guardian Angel instead of anything he might
have been able to control with his own reactions or responses, telling his
small audience that his guardian angel had been watching over him.
I’ve heard this phrase repeated from many people who’ve
left a precarious predicament without injury or any relevant harm other than
a scare. I myself believe that I’ve been the recipient of the watchful
protection delivered by a guardian angel in numerous situations where I
simply can’t explain away a miraculous escape from the exact moment when I
would have surely met the most dire of circumstances. Along with my own
miracle moments and those chilling accounts heard about from family,
friends, rumors, readings and other renderings attributing the guardian
angel’s watchfulness to a happy ending, I learned that I wasn’t the only one
who had felt the powerfully shielding wings of a guardian angel.
Always someone who loves giving gifts, usually small and
inexpensive trinkets I’ve happened upon at some novelty store, I’ve been
both giver and recipient of those little Guardian Angel pins frequently seen
on display at cash registers in convenience stores. Along with sharing some
measure of the awareness of Guardian Angels through these small gifts I’ve
also enjoyed a subscription to Angels on Earth, a Guideposts Magazine, which
relates true stories encouraging further interest in Guardian Angels. My
latest Angel reference is this book, Angel
Signs, A Celestial Guide to the Powers of Your Own Guardian Angel by Albert
Haldane & Simha Seraya with Barbara Lagowski.
Angel Signs is a book designed to show readers how to
identify their own personal Guardian Angel based on the day they were born.
According to these writers, using this “Angelscope”, readers will be able to
learn about the individual born under the protective wings of specific
Guardian Angels and that angel’s name, the meaning of the name and the
connection to those born under the sign, how your angel can help to bring
success in love, work and relationships and even which celebrities are born
under that Angel Sign. In so many words, Angel Signs is a book founded on
the idea that there is a “horoscope” of Angel wisdom to be gained from
knowing your own Angel sign.
In his introduction, poet and philosopher, Albert Haldane,
writes ... “To the millions of men and women who do not converse with their
personal guardian Angel and don’t know that they can; to the millions who
never did because they don’t know how; to the millions who are called but
don’t know how to respond; To all humans around the planet, who will
discover here the name of their munificent companion, pronounce it in the
universal language, and in so doing, unite forever with their Angels”. In
their foreword, the writers accredit much of their writings in this book to
their celestial companions or Guardian Angels, saying that many of the
ideas, concepts, metaphors, poetic images, and rhythms were inspired by
these beings.
Haldane explains that
Guardian Angels exist to
protect us, reinforce our connection with the spiritual realm, awaken our
potential, support us in times of need and to create miracles. Guardian
Angels are the messengers of the divine realm, the unbreakable link that
connects earth with heaven and their mission is to deliver messages to us,
to open a channel where the divine spirit flows through to us. These angels
are our greatest supporters and we need them to help us live more fully and
they will always be there for us.
According to Angel Signs and my date of birth, my
personal Guardian Angel from the 74 guardians listed in this book is
Dani-Ya-El. I will use my personal angel’s directory, the text provided on
pages 166, 167 and 168, to give insight into exactly what sort of
information each of the 74 Angel Signs provides within this 243 page guide
to angels.
First, a short
recognition of my personal angel, and the personal angel of anyone
born on my birthday or the 4
days past it: According to this text, Dani-Ya-El encourages achievements
that are guided by the principles of social justice. Stimulates activities
that call for understanding and compassion. Raises capacity and potential

essential; identify, individuality. Penetration to the center of every
reality. Negation and rejection of superficial and perverse realities. Ya,
Mastery. Dexterity, expertise, human action aligned with divine universal
principles. El, ending vibration of the Angel’s name. Principle of

transformation and evolution.
In Akkadian language, the name Dani-Ya-El means,
literally, “Passage, transition, and innovation arise from the central,
unique, immutable law with which the true Verb creates evolving movement.”
Would the moral and scrupulous men and women in deep harmony with the Angel
Dani-Ya-El rather be right or happy? The answer is both. For unless these
honest, honorable souls are working on the side of righteousness, unless
their personal behavior and social activities draw upon the highest ethical
principles, they simply cannot be truly happy. There is, of course, a
difference in being righteous and self-righteous - and we are happy to say
that those under the protection of Angel Dani-Ya-El manage to be upright yet
flexible. They lead a life of rectitude yet avoid rigidity and always try to
exercise compassion, behave with fairness, and show respect for others’

The text moves on through numerous paragraphs stating
that those with Angel Dani-Ya-El as their protector and guide, are people
who find it easier to Know and then Do the right thing. They may find it
easier to even convince lifetime adversaries to give up their petty
differences and act on higher principles. These people are capable of
glimpsing the reality of immutable eternity, to understand the evolving
movement of life, and to know the comparisons and contrasts between divine
ethic and human justice. They can bring a touch of divine justice to earth.
They may be self effacing to the extreme due to a intimate knowledge of such
gloriously transforming subjects as universal law and divine ethics, you
have little interest in personal prominence. May prefer to put creative
powers at the service of teams organized around a cause or project. Might be
successful as a mediator even when the most ethical choice is also the most
difficult one. In these people establish a deep harmony with their Angel,
they can lead a intense and sincere spiritual life, being inspired by
celestial dimensions and putting those to work on earth. By invoking your
guardian you will put your quest for the truth in motion in a life long

do believe that this is God leading His people to be and do what is best in
the scheme of it all. And so, when I tell someone that they are a angel,
which I have been known to do, what I’m actually saying is that they are
someone I believe that God has filled with His Spirit and inspired good
words or works or wills in them.
Angel Signs is
definitely a interesting read and one that provides plenty of easy to
understand and relate to information for those who want to learn more about
guardian angels. This book would be a
excellent novelty gift for
someone who is especially enchanted by Angels watching over us or has
encountered situations where there is no explanation for their victory other
than a Guardian Angel who has been working over time.
